Product Overview
This custom precision-turned stainless steel valve component features a stepped cylindrical profile, a machined internal recess, axial slots, and cross-drilled holes. These features can be configured for fluid-control and actuator assemblies where alignment, passage cleanliness, and consistent fit matter. Final function and sealing performance depend on the complete valve design.
Sunmy Hardware manufactures turned and milled components to customer drawings or approved samples. We can adapt the bore geometry, slot positions, mounting interfaces, materials, and finish to your design, from prototype batches through repeat production. Matching pins, sleeves, and related parts can also be sourced, machined, and assembled when required.
Manufacturing Approach
Small turned parts become difficult when several details must work together: bore-to-outer-diameter alignment, narrow slots, intersecting holes, and usable edges after machining.
- Precision CNC Turning: We establish main outer diameters, shoulders, and bores with sequences designed to control runout and repeatability.
- Slot Milling & Cross-Drilling: Axial slots and small holes are machined using indexed CNC equipment, checking position and edge conditions.
- Critical Bore & Seat Finishing: Contact surfaces receive specialized boring or reaming to meet specific surface roughness requirements.
- Deburring & Cleaning: Internal intersections undergo rigorous deburring and cleaning to ensure functionality and cleanliness.
Technical FAQ
Q1: Can you make a similar part to our own drawing rather than supply this exact design?Yes. Send a STEP file and a dimensioned drawing, or an approved sample, and we can review the manufacturing approach and provide DFM feedback.
Q2: How do you approach accuracy and burr control around slots and cross-holes?We identify critical datums before machining, then select suitable setups, deburring methods, and inspection gauges to ensure precision.
Q3: Which materials, finishes, and supporting documents are available? We offer 303, 304, 316/316L, 17-4PH, etc. Material certificates and inspection records are available upon request at the RFQ stage.
Q4: Can you handle prototypes, repeat orders, and component assembly?Yes. We support prototype quantities and large-scale production, including mating parts and sub-assembly services.
Q5: What is the typical lead time for custom valve components?Lead times are project-dependent based on material availability, geometry complexity, and quantity. We provide specific estimates after reviewing your drawings.
